Chalet Löeffelspitze

If you are looking for a place to ski for the first time, or are looking for somewhere new to ski, look no further! It can be daunting when looking for a ski holiday as there are so many things to consider, book, arrange and buy. Coming to our Chalet makes it all very easy – everything is on your doorstep!

When you stay in our Chalet for the first time you will find friendly faces at reception. They can advise you on everything you need, from where the bus to the cable car pick-up is, to where you can hire skis – it could really not be easier. Once you are up on the mountains, you can explore the Wildkogel Arena to your hearts content. No need to pack lunch because there are many restaurants you can ski to on the slopes.

The Wildkogel Arena is a family-friendly ski resort in the Hohe Tauern National Park Holiday Region, and it offers a magical snow-sports experience for beginners and experienced skiers on 75 km of beautifully groomed pistes. Access to the pistes is via the Wildkogelbahn lift in Neukirchen, which will take you 2100 metres above sea level to be greeted by glorious views of the 3000 metre high peaks of the Hohe Tauern mountain range.

Once at the top, the Wildkogel Arena promises ideal conditions for a wide selection of winter sports; whether you prefer a laid back experience, an exciting high-speed adventure, cutting your own tracks through deep snow, or set out on a ski-tour through virgin nature. With a full range of slopes that are mainly rated ‘blue’ or ‘red’, the multiple award winning ski area is ideally suited for families, beginners and those returning to the sport after a hiatus.

Ski passes are available online and in-advance from the Wildkogel Arena website. It is possible to purchase day tickets and 6-from-10 day passes, useful in the case of occasional bad weather.

The local village of Neukirchen and the Chalet complex offer a host of things to do, buy and eat. Neukirchen has plenty of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The Chalet complex itself has a bar and Italian restaurant.

There are two supermarkets in the village, a Billa and a Spar, as well as a beautiful bakery and butcher. There are a number of clothing and souvenir shops and many places to hire skis and book ski lessons.
